Mining Question: Which one is true?
« on: November 15, 2018, 10:03:37 AM »

I have a question about STR token mining.

Suppose I have 1000 STR, and make a mining transaction.

But I set a low gas price. Before the mining transaction gets confirmed, I receive 100 STR extra from airdrop (just an example).

If the transaction confirms later (more than 3 days), will I get mining reward based on 1000 STR, or based on 1100 STR?

Which one is true?

I think you will get a reward based on 1000 STR. Because newly received 100 STR need to stay at your address at least 3 days until it can bring any minting income.

I can't imagine that you set so low gas price which may cause a pending txt for  more than 3 days. Because it block any other outcoming transactions from your address until this one (with a lower nonce number) would be resolved. No logic to set so low gas price, better to pospone minting till a better day.
Always use  ethgasstation.info as a guide for an actual gas price.

I have modified my post to exclude this factor. You are right and I forgot the 3-day coinage but it was not my question was about. My intention was to ask if the original mining transaction could take the new deposit into account.

But thanks for pointing factor this out, anyway. :)

When you mint, your data will be created already. So its not important when your transaction has ended. The important thing is when you start to action.
